Abstract

The book “Durus al-Lughat al-‘Arabiyyah” is a special book for teaching beginners to improve Arabic language skill. This book was written by one of the founding fathers of the Darussalam Modern Islamic Institutions, Gontor Ponorogo, who is KH. Imam Zarkasyi with KH. Imam Syubbani. With this book, the teachers in this institute made an effort to teach the subject of Arabic language lessons in the process of teaching and learning. It is a science that every teacher, in order to perform his role in teaching the Arabic language with good performance, needs teaching skills, and to provide good teaching aids. Teaching aids are necessary when teaching because they help to clarify information and ideas and remove ambiguity in the education process, but it is noted that they have not been used well. In addition, the teaching aids that the official of the Islamic Teachers Training College has are limited, as well as some teachers are still looking for teaching aids that students understand quickly It matches words or vocabulary. That is why it was important to prepare and develop such means, especially by using modern technology. Modern technology has its advantage in solving human problems, satisfying his needs and increasing his ability. Hence, the researcher decided to design the teaching aids for the Arabic language lessons book, based on the PowerPoint program. As for the results obtained from the results of the evaluation of the expert, the percentage average = 80% (good), and from the results of the questionnaire from the teacher, he got the general average = 89%, and from the results of the questionnaire from the students, he got the general average = 88.3%. This means that the educational tool that has been prepared is valid for application, and this helps in improving students’ efficiency and improving their understanding of the Arabic language lessons. In addition, this educational tool is attractive and interesting.
