Journal History

Lisanudhad was established in 2014 by the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah, Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor. Since its inaugural issue, the journal has been committed to the principles of open access, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees.

Since its first publication, Lisanudhad has undergone several developments in its editorial management. Over the years, the composition of the Editorial Board has been updated on several occasions to accommodate organizational and managerial changes, while maintaining the journal's commitment to academic integrity, editorial excellence, and high publication standards.

In 2025, the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform experienced a significant cybersecurity incident that caused technical disruptions and damage to the journal system. To protect the integrity and security of the journal's data, the editorial team decided to permanently close the previous OJS platform and undertake the development of a new and more secure journal management system.

In 2026, Volume 13, Number 1 (2026) was officially published through the newly established OJS platform, marking a new chapter in the journal's development and reaffirming its commitment to providing a reliable, secure, and high-quality publishing environment for authors, reviewers, and readers.

Today, Lisanudhad, which has successfully achieved SINTA 2 accreditation, continues to strengthen its editorial quality, publication ethics, and international visibility. The journal remains dedicated to advancing scholarly communication and contributing to the development of research in Arabic language education and related fields through the publication of high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific articles.
